Simplify Zero Waste

Deodorant Recipe

You guys…this deodorant seriously rocks.

When I use store bought deodorants the smell tends to “turn” throughout the day, or when I workout. Does this happen to anyone else?

I also hate putting something on my body (particularly if it’s a daily use product) where I can’t recognize the ingredients. That’s why I started making my own!

Making your own zero waste deodorant is easy, good for the environment and guess what? It’s WAY better than what you buy at the store. This deodorant doesn’t turn sour throughout the day and is made from all natural, non-toxic ingredients - can’t find anything better at the store. Simply fill your container of choice 1/2 way with melted coconut oil, 1/4 with baking soda and 1/4 with arrowroot powder. I’ve heard that corn starch works in place of arrowroot powder but haven’t tried it myself :) . Feel free to add essential oils for a nice scent - I prefer mine scent-free!

If you’re unable to create this recipe yourself, we can make it for you! All recipes available for sale online in the Simplify Zero Waste Shop.
